ICP still offers a username account for some public services, but for an individual sponsor the residence services (issue, renew, amend) are reached through UAE PASS. 9. My wife is outside the UAE. What do I apply for on ICP?

An entry permit for residence first. After she enters the UAE, she does the medical test and Emirates ID biometrics, and you apply for the residence on the same file.

10. My child is already in the UAE on a visit visa. Do they need to leave?

Usually not. You can apply for a change of status inside the UAE on ICP smart services, so the residence is issued without leaving the country. The change-of-status fee is added to the total.
