Report the loss to ICP within 7 days (any ICP center, the ICP app — or we file it for you). The old card is suspended so nobody can misuse your identity.

2 · Apply for replacement

The ICP replacement application is filed with your passport and visa details — same-day, no new fingerprints, your existing biometrics are reused.

3 · Pay & receive

AED 300 replacement fee + AED 156 ICP service fees. Standard delivery 3–5 days, or within 24 hours with the Fawri urgent service (+AED 150).

Documents

  1. Passport copy (original may be requested at ICP for identity confirmation)
  2. Residence visa copy
  3. Copy or number of the lost / damaged Emirates ID (if available)
  4. The damaged card itself (for damage replacements — it's handed in)
  5. Police report (stolen cards only)

What should I do immediately after losing my Emirates ID?
Report it to ICP as soon as possible (officially within 7 days) so the card is deactivated — at any ICP center, through the ICP app, or we file the report for you. Then the replacement application can go in the same day.
Do I need a police report for a lost Emirates ID?
Not for a simple loss — the ICP report is sufficient. A police report is recommended if the card was stolen or you suspect it could be misused.
How much does a replacement Emirates ID cost?
AED 300 ICP replacement fee plus AED 156 in ICP service fees — AED 456 in total if you apply yourself, about AED 486 through a typing centre. Add AED 150 if you want the 24-hour Fawri urgent service.
Do I need to give fingerprints again?
No. Your biometrics are already in the ICP system, so a replacement normally requires no center visit at all.
How fast can I get the new card?
Standard processing is 3–5 working days. With Fawri, ICP issues the card within 24 hours at main centers — often same-day if filed in the morning.
My card is damaged but I still have it — same process?
Yes, same AED 300 fee and process; the damaged card is handed in when you collect the new one. No loss report is needed since the card isn't missing.
I found my old card after getting a replacement — can I use it?
No. Once reported lost, the old card is permanently deactivated. Using it may cause issues at smart gates and banks — hand it in to ICP.
