Card gone? Do these three things first.
Whether it's lost, stolen or snapped in half, the sequence is the same — and the first step matters most.
Report the loss to ICP within 7 days (any ICP center, the ICP app — or we file it for you). The old card is suspended so nobody can misuse your identity.
The ICP replacement application is filed with your passport and visa details — same-day, no new fingerprints, your existing biometrics are reused.
AED 300 replacement fee + AED 70 application. Standard delivery 3–5 days, or within 24 hours with the Fawri urgent service (+AED 150).
For theft — especially if misuse is possible — file a police report first. It protects you legally; we'll guide you through it.
Replacement, step by step.
Everything ICP requires for a lost, stolen or damaged card — handled online in one WhatsApp thread.
Lost / damaged Emirates ID — replacement process
Documents
- Passport copy (original may be requested at ICP for identity confirmation)
- Residence visa copy
- Copy or number of the lost / damaged Emirates ID (if available)
- The damaged card itself (for damage replacements — it's handed in)
- Police report (stolen cards only)
Procedure
- Loss report: we notify ICP; your old card is deactivated to block misuse.
- Replacement filing: the ICP application goes in the same day — your card keeps its original expiry date.
- Payment: AED 300 + AED 70, itemized. Fawri 24-hour option added if you need the card urgently.
- No biometrics: your fingerprints are already on file — no ICP visit needed in normal cases.
- Delivery: Emirates Post pick-up or courier, tracked until it's in your hand.
Replacement costs, 2026.
Replacement is a flat fee — it does not depend on your visa duration, and your card keeps its original expiry date.
| Item | Details | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| ICP replacement fee | Same for lost, stolen or damaged cards, any nationality | AED 300 |
| Application & typing | eForm AED 40 / typing center AED 70 | AED 40–70 |
| Standard total | Card delivered in 3–5 working days | ≈ AED 370 |
| Urgent Fawri service | Card issued within 24 hours at ICP main centers | + AED 150 |
| Urgent total | Replacement + Fawri | ≈ AED 520 |
Indicative ICP fees. The replacement card carries the same expiry date as the lost one — if it was close to expiry anyway, ask us whether renewing instead makes more sense.
