Amer Al Barsha (2026): The 3 GDRFA-Listed Amer Centres in Al Barsha 1, Al Barsha 2 and Al Barsha Mall — Locations, Phones, Timings, Services and the 100% Online Alternative

Amer Al Barsha is not one office but three GDRFA-listed Amer centres in Al Barsha (البرشاء), Dubai: NYPD Typing in Al Barsha 1, a centre on the first floor of Al Barsha Mall, and EGSH Investments LLC in Al Barsha 2. All three type and submit GDRFA visa applications — family visas, renewals, cancellations, entry permits and more. This guide gives each centre's official name, GDRFA location, phone number and map pin, explains what to bring and what still needs you in person, and shows how residents of Al Barsha, Umm Suqeim and Barsha Heights can get most visa tasks done online without visiting any centre.

📍 THE SHORT ANSWER
Al Barsha has 3 GDRFA-listed Amer centres — one of them inside Al Barsha Mall (1st floor, F28, Gate 2).
Call before you go: GDRFA does not publish Amer hours, and they usually run about 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Saturday. Amer centres only type and submit applications; the medical test and Emirates ID biometrics happen elsewhere. Most family visa tasks can also be done 100% online — through GDRFA yourself or with FamilyVisa.ae.

🔎 Which centre is "Amer Al Barsha"?

Most people mean NYPD Typing, the centre whose email domain is ameralbarsha.com. Khaleej Times reported in 2017 that Dubai's fourth Amer centre had opened in Al Barsha. On its GDRFA listing the location label reads "Bur Dubai – Umm Suqeim", but the GDRFA map pin sits in Al Barsha 1 — which is why searches for amer umm suqeim and amer al barsha lead to the same place. Two more Amer centres are listed by GDRFA nearby: one in Al Barsha Mall and one in Al Barsha 2.

Whatever you typed — amer center barsha, amer barsha, amer service al barsha or amer center umm suqeim — these three are the Amer centres GDRFA lists for this part of Dubai. GDRFA writes "Bur Dubai –" in front of many locations; that only means the side of the Creek, not the Bur Dubai district.

What is NYPD Typing in Al Barsha 1?

The centre most people call Amer Al Barsha. GDRFA's text says Umm Suqeim, so follow the map pin, not the label, and call 04 344 9994 to confirm the entrance before you drive over.

Where exactly is EGSH Investments LLC?

GDRFA lists it in Al Barsha 2, with a map pin close to the NYPD Typing pin. Some older web pages describe it as being in Barsha Heights (Tecom); GDRFA's listing is the reference, so use the pin and call 055 500 7728 if you cannot find the entrance.

🛍️ Is there an Amer centre in Al Barsha Mall?

Yes. The Amer Al Barsha Mall centre is listed by GDRFA as Al Quoz Government Transactions Center — Al Barsha 2, Al Barsha Mall, 1st Floor, shop F28, Gate 2. Despite the "Al Quoz" in its trade name, it is in Al Barsha, not Al Quoz. If you searched for amer barsha mall, amer al barsha mall or amer center al barsha mall, this is the one.

Why choose the Al Barsha Mall Amer centre?

✓Parking: the mall car park is usually easier than street parking in Al Barsha 1 and 2.
✓Easy to find: a named mall, a floor and a shop number — enter by Gate 2 and go to the first floor.
iMetro: not next to a station; Mall of the Emirates station is the usual nearest stop (approx.), then a short taxi ride.

🏘️ I live in Umm Suqeim or Barsha Heights — which Amer centre should I use?

GDRFA lists no separate Amer centre in Barsha Heights, and the only "Umm Suqeim" label belongs to NYPD Typing, whose pin is in Al Barsha 1. So residents of Umm Suqeim, Barsha Heights (Tecom), Al Barsha South and Al Barsha 3 normally use one of the three Al Barsha centres. Nearby alternatives listed by GDRFA include Amer centres in Al Quoz — for example Bab Alfalah Documents Clearing Services and Digital Future Government Transactions Center at Gold & Diamond Park — and the centre covered in our Amer centre Ibn Battuta guide for the Jebel Ali side.

Is there a GDRFA office near Al Barsha?

Yes — GDRFA's own Al Manara centre in the Al Manara Municipality Building on Sheikh Zayed Road. It is a GDRFA centre, not an Amer centre, and handles cases an Amer typist cannot. GDRFA lists it as open Monday to Thursday 7:30 am to 7 pm and Friday 7:30 am to 12 pm and 2:30 pm to 7 pm (phone 04 707 5967).

🕗 What are the Amer Al Barsha timings?

GDRFA does not publish opening hours for individual Amer centres — its pages list only the location, phone and map pin. Amer centres usually open about 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Saturday; some open on Sunday or close for Friday prayers — call the centre on its GDRFA-listed number before you go. Mall-based centres may follow the mall's own hours.

Is any Amer centre near Al Barsha open 24 hours?

Not according to GDRFA. The only official 24/7 counter is GDRFA's own Customer Happiness Centre at DXB Terminal 3 Arrivals (a GDRFA centre, not an Amer centre). The Amer call centre 800 5111 (from abroad +971 4 313 9999) and GDRFA's online channels — the GDRFA website, the GDRFA DXB app and Dubai Now — run 24/7. Amer247 in Al Khabaisi, Deira advertises 24/7 itself; GDRFA does not list hours. See our 24-hour Amer options in Dubai.

When is the Amer centre in Al Barsha least busy?

Usually early in the morning on a weekday. Evenings, Saturdays, the days before public holidays and January–February (when many family visas come up for renewal) tend to be busier. Arrive with every document ready so one visit is enough.

🧾 What services can I get at Amer Al Barsha?

Amer centres are private companies listed and licensed by GDRFA. Their typists prepare and submit GDRFA applications such as:

👪 Family visas
Spouse, children and parents — new visa, renewal and stamping. See how to apply for a UAE family visa.
✂️ Cancellations
Dependent visa cancellation inside or outside the UAE — AED 189 at Amer, AED 85 online. Guide: visa cancellation in the UAE.
✈️ Entry permits and status change

🪪 Emirates ID and medical typing
Application typing only — the card is issued by ICP. See Emirates ID typing.

📂 What documents should I bring to the Amer centre in Al Barsha?

It depends on the service, but for a family visa task bring originals and clear copies of:

1
Passports of the sponsor and of each family member, with any current visa page.
2
Emirates ID of the sponsor (and of family members for a renewal).
3
A recent photo of each family member on a white background.
4
Attested marriage or birth certificates for a new family visa — home country, UAE embassy, then MOFA, with Arabic translation where needed.
5
Proof of income — salary certificate or contract (AED 4,000, or AED 3,000 plus accommodation), or property or company documents.

Our family visa documents checklist lists every case. In Dubai, no tenancy contract is needed for a wife and children; parents need a two-bedroom home.

🩺 What still needs me in person — even if I skip Amer?

Amer itself does neither the medical nor the biometrics — it only types and submits. These steps need you, whichever route you choose:

StepWhereWho must go
Medical fitness test (residence)A DHA-approved medical fitness centre in DubaiFamily members 18 and over
Emirates ID biometrics (fingerprints, photo)An ICP centre, when the system asksUsually adults; children under 15 are often exempt
