The DHA medical fitness test is a mandatory health screening for all expatriates
applying for a new UAE residency visa or renewing an existing one. It typically includes
a blood test and chest X-ray to check for communicable diseases.
Generally, no. Emirates ID biometrics (fingerprinting and eye scan) are only required
for first-time visa applicants or if explicitly requested by the ICP system to update
your records.
Standard DHA medical results are usually issued within 24 hours. However, VIP and
Express centers (like Smart Salem) offer results in as little as 2 to 4 hours.
You must bring your original passport, a clear copy of your visa/entry permit, a recent
passport-sized photograph, and the typed DHA medical application form.
